Why do subscription renewal reminder emails show an incorrect upcoming subscription amount?
The subscription price changed, yet the subscription renewal reminder shows the old subscription price
When you schedule subscription changes to reflect on renewal and want the updated details to reflect in the subscription renewal reminder email, you need to include the subscription/invoice estimate fields in the subscription renewal reminder email notification body so that it would show the correct subscription renewal amount in the email.
When you have scheduled a subscription change on renewal for a customer and this change has been done before the Subscription Renewal Reminder was sent, you can easily ensure the updated subscription details are reflected in the subscription renewal reminder email.
To ensure that the Subscription Renewal Reminder email sent to the customer includes the correct/new subscription price, you need to include the subscription/invoice estimate fields in the subscription renewal reminder email notification body so that it would show the correct to-be changes in the email. Otherwise, it would show the current subscription price only.
Go to - Settings > Configure Chargebee > Email Notifications > Subscription Renewal reminders > Edit. Add the mail merge field as mentioned and “Publish” the changes.
Note: Please ensure to add the correct desired fields, and remove the unwanted fields from the Email Notification body, so that it does not confuse your customer.
