Is it possible to move the subscription's start date?

Scope
Is it possible to move the subscription Start date once created? 

The subscription was started on the 1st of Sep and already paid, but now the client wants to move the start date to the 1st of October. How can this be processed in Chargebee?


Solution

It would not be possible to push an existing subscription's start date to the future in Chargebee. 

 

We could only have that subscription canceled and create a new subscription for this customer with a future date. You could navigate to the paid invoice and remove payments associated with it. As soon as this is done, you could void the invoice, cancel the subscription and then create a new subscription for the customer.

The payments you'd remove settles as excess payments in your customer's file and as soon as you create a new subscription, these excess payments immediately apply to the newly generated invoice. The customer wouldn't be charged anything extra while doing this.
