The migration process requires you to enable the Customer Information Manager (CIM) option within your Authorize.net account. Read more about CIM here.
Enabling the CIM will ensure that all new card details are stored in Authorize.net’s card vault and also help Chargebee facilitate the migration of customer card details as well.
Follow the steps below to enable CIM for your Authorize.net account:
Log into your https://login.authorize.net/ account.
Click Customer Information Manager in the main menu.
-
Click Sign up for Customer Information Manager (CIM) Now to initiate the sign-up.
Review the terms and conditions and click the I have read and understand the Terms of Service checkbox to accept their terms of service.
-
Click I Agree.
Outcome: The Customer Information Manager (CIM) is now enabled for your account.
6. Contact the Customer Support Team or Chargebee Customer Success Manager(CSM) (if assigned) to confirm that CIM is now enabled on your Authorize.net account. Upon confirmation, our team enables direct integration with Authorize.net in your Chargebee site.
8. Update your Smart Routing settings to make the Authorize.net direct integration the preferred payment gateway for applicable payment methods.
After successfully configuring the direct integration, our team will help you migrate your existing customers' card details from Spreedly to Authorize.net and assign new tokens for existing customers.
Note:
All new customer payments will occur via Authorize.net and card details will be stored within their card vault.
All future renewals will be processed from cards stored in Authorize.net’s vault
