My invoice dates are one day earlier than it was in Chargebee. Why am I seeing this mismatch?

Summary


If you notice a difference in the invoice dates on Chargebee and your third party accounting integrations ie. Quickbooks, Xero. this would be due to a mismatch in time zone settings between the two platforms.

You can avoid the mismatch in invoice dates if you have the same time zone configured in Chargebee and your accounting system.


For example, if you are following the BST(British Summer Time) in Chargebee, make sure you change the time zone in Quickbooks/Xero, etc. to BST. 


You can change the time zone in Chargebee by navigating to Chargebee dashboard, 

Settings 

Configure Chargebee 

Business profile 

> Click Change time zone

> Set time zone of your site

> Click Apply
