How to hide the billing period in invoices?

Metered Billing

Summary

Disabling the option to display the billing period in invoices will hide the date period in the invoice sent out to the customers.

Hiding the billing period could be useful when Metered Billing is being used, for example, as Chargebee primarily follows an advanced billing model, so invoices are generated for the current billing period (for example, 1st of the current month - end of month), even though the usage charges would be added for the previous month.

Solution

To disable the Billing Period, go to Settings > Configure Chargebee > Invoices, credit notes, and quotes (under Customer-Facing Essentials) > Invoices > Disable Billing Period under Invoice Fields > Apply Changes.

Once disabled, for any new invoices generated, the billing period would not appear in the invoice.

Disabling this setting would not affect invoices already generated.
