Solution
Chargebee’s 2-Factor Authentication helps secure your Chargebee account better. With 2FA setup, logging into your account requires your password and an additional code. This additional code is a one-time valid code that is generated using the Google-Authenticator app on your phone.
To enable 2-FA for your account, head to Account > Manage Account > Two Factor Authentication and click Enable. You will be required to scan a QR code on your phone’s Authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code from the app to complete the configuration.
The code from the Authenticator app needs to be entered along with your password every time you try to log in.
Recovery Codes:
If you are unable to access your codes, such as when you change or lose your phone, recovery codes can come in handy. You can use them to log into your account and reset the 2FA.
Recovery codes can be downloaded from the 2FA configuration page during setup. You can also download them by navigating to your Profile from the Navigation Bar(Username > Edit Profile).
What if I do not have my recovery Codes?
You can reach out to our support team at support@chargebee.com and they will help you reset the 2FA by disabling from the backend and you can set it up again.
Note: You will need to write to us from the respective email address.
You need to disable Single Sign-On to enable two-factor authentication
You can disable the 2FA feature at any time by clicking the Disable option in the 2FA section on your Profile page. Once disabled, your account will be secured by your password alone. If you would like to enable 2FA once again, follow steps from here.
