When invoicing customers based on products rather than subscriptions and contracts, it may be necessary to exclude certain products from revenue calculations. It is important for businesses to have clear and consistent policies for determining which products should be excluded from revenue calculations to ensure accurate financial reporting. RevRec helps you with excluding such products from your revenue recognition process with the help of product exclusion feature.

Solution

Admin access to the merchant’s RevRec site is required to perform this action.

Once admin access is granted, please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Admin > Merchants > Config > Advanced Configuration Properties > Configuration.

2. Add or update the following field:

   • Property Name: properties/pass-through-products

   • Property Value: Product Code (from the products section in RevRec)

If you have multiple products to set as passthrough, separate each Product ID with a comma.

NOTE: If there are existing passthrough products configured for "properties/pass-through-products" property, please ensure that you include the current Product Codes along with any new ones when updating the configuration.
