You can export the reason codes (default in Chargebee) using the filter option on the subscription index page. If you are using RevenueStory then you could also create a custom report using the Report Builder feature in RevenueStory for this. Click on RevenueStory > Report Builder > Detailed Report.

Solution

You can export the subscriptions from your Chargebee site to see the cancellation reasons as in this article.

You could also create a custom report using the Report Builder feature in RevenueStory for this. Click on RevenueStory > Report Builder > Detailed Report

You can use the below fields in the Subscriptions Module of the report for this -

If you have the Reason codes feature enabled on your site and enabled custom reasons on your site, you should be able to see the custom reasons in the cancellation reason code field.

The
Cancellation reason code is the field that gives you the option chosen by the customer when canceling the subscription from the portal or when you cancel the subscription from the Chargebee UI.

The Cancel reason field gives you the default reason for which the subscription is canceled. For example, when the subscription is canceled when the invoice for the subscription is not paid as a result of dunning. The reason here would be “NOT PAID”. This is automatically populated by Chargebee based on why a particular subscription was canceled.

You could see the Cancel reason field in the RevenueStory report called “Cancellation MRR” also.

Navigate to RevenueStory > Metric Explorer and search for the metric “Cancellation MRR”.

Click on the “Add” button and then “Add to dashboard”  on the top to add the report to your RevenueStory dashboard.

The report would be added to the bottom of the dashboard. Now you can hover over the bar to be able to see the underlying data for the report.

Click on “View underlying data” to see the data for the particular month.
