Setup

Map fields from the JS or subscription management provider, and manage your key configuration settings.

The Save and Cancel intervals tab allow you to select the time windows that get applied for key logic events in Chargebee Retention. It is important to set these to appropriate time windows for your relative business model, the defaults are set for a subscription business that typically bills its customers on a monthly basis. Customers who have a weekly subscription model will typically select 7 or 14 days as a save interval, 60 days as a unique save period, and 30 days as a Unique cancel period.

The Billing system section allows you to enable the four different billing integrations that we provide for Stripe, Recurly, and Chargebee customers.

Finally, you can enable Revenue in Reports and select which field is used to present revenue via the Revenue in the Reports section. We currently support showing any numeric field you map into Chargebee Retention here, along with a pre-computed MRR or subscription price field from our Attribution billing integration. If you select the billing option, you will get to choose which version of revenue we display. MRR will calculate values on a monthly basis based on your full subscription value and its corresponding billing frequency and the subscription price will aggregate values on the full price of the subscription regardless of billing term.

Company Level Settings

Some of the settings in Chargebee Retention will be configured at the global company level and thus apply to all of your applications.

Users

Invite users, see a list of users, and scrub test sessions from reporting.

Account

The Account tab allows you to purchase, manage and change your Chargebee Retention plan. This tab has three different views, Plan, Invoices, and Billing.

NOTE: If you first purchased with Chargebee Retention prior to 1/1/2021, you may be on a legacy plan and have access to the Account tab. Please contact your TAM or [email protected] to discuss migrating to one of our existing plans

Plan

The Plan tab is where you go to purchase your subscription initially, adjust your usage limit or change your plan. Trial customers who have not purchased a plan yet will be presented with the Choose plan selector when they first visit the Account Page.

Once you have purchased a plan, you will see the full plan tab which tracks your session utilization and allows you to manage the plan from here.

Chargebee Retention has a usage-based pricing model, with retention workflow session fees if you go over your session allotment in a given month. If you are over your current allotment of sessions, it is easy to upgrade to lock in a lower per-session rate by selecting 'Adjust limit'. To access the full plan selector again, simply select 'Change plan'.

Invoices

The Invoices tab tracks your Chargebee Retention invoice history. You will see two different types of invoices in Chargebee Retention, subscription invoices, and extended session invoices. Subscription invoices are for your base plan for each billing period, and extended session invoices are for any charges beyond your monthly session limit.

You can view the invoice details and download it directly or a receipt by clicking on the invoice link.

Billing

The Billing Tab displays the key details about your plan and allows you to change your payment method. We currently support credit card payments only via self-service but will be adding additional methods shortly. If you need an alternate payment method, please contact [email protected].
