Yes of course, you can configure tax for a country outside of your region in Chargebee. You can use the “Customized Tax” tax type(Chargebee web interface -> Settings -> Site Settings -> Taxes -> Tax Type) for this. Download the sample CSV file and and specify the tax rates for each region. Once you’re done, upload back to Chargebee.


Here’s an example of how you can do this.


Let’s consider you have your business incorporated in Australia and your customers are across Australia and New Zealand. You would want to collect different taxes from customers in Australia and customers in New Zealand.


Here's how you would fill the CSV file:


 



So when customers sign up, depending on their country, the appropriate taxes will be applied.
