Edit Subscription is not active for trial plan

I configured a Plan named Trial with a trial period of 30 days and no price. Additionally I configured two more plans one with price. I activated the option "Displayed in Customer Portal" but the edit button is not shown on the portal?


What have I done wrong?

Hi there,


The Change Subscription option is available only for subscriptions that are in Active state or Non Renewing state. It's not currently shown for subscriptions that are in trial period. Would you be able to test it with plans that don't have a trial period associated with them and let us know if you're still facing issues.

but how can user than activate his subscription? Do he need to wait until the trial period is over before he can buy?


We want to offer a trial version for 30 days and when ever he likes he can activate his current or switch to an other plan.

In this case, the best approach would be to use our open source customer portal to build a customer portal of your own where you could offer this feature along with much more. 


These are some of the additional features that can be accomplished via Open source customer portal, but not through our default customer portal: 

  • Reactivate Subscription
  • Pause Subscription
  • One time Checkout
  • Option to display customer specific plans
  • Activate Trial/Upgrade during trial etc.
