Notification email template test

Hi, when I click on Preview button address for sending test email is non-editable. How can I change it:

Thanks.

Hey Pirozhkov,

Thanks for writing to us!

Currently, the test mail template is non-editable and could be sent only to the email address that you've configured in the "From" address field under the email template settings. Could you please let us know why you'd want this field to be editable?

Well, I have completely different email in From field (either global and per - template).
Test mail:

From address:

From in global setting is the same.

Another reason can be one I mentioned in another topic - this From address can be "no-reply" send-only address.

Another reason - testing different mail providers, to ensure mail is not rejected, is not marked as spam, etc.

Hey Pirozhkov,

Unfortunately, the option to test multiple email addresses pertaining to multiple mail providers at a go is currently not available, Sorry.

I'll mark it as a feature request for our engineering team to consider and let you know if it gets rolled out in the future.

OK, by a way:

could be sent only to the email address that you've configured in the "From" address field under the email template settings

I've tested it, actually it's not address in the From field, but address of current site user logged in.

Hey Pirozhkov,

Yes, actually that's right, Sorry. I've already forwarded your request to our engineering team, and I'll reach out to you if it is taken up for implementation.

Hi Vlad

Hope you are doing great.

We released a new version of Email Notifications a few months back that lets you customize the email address where you'd like to send the test email to.

Please note that this works for most of the email notifications under Settings > Email Notifications giving you a good testing ground, and the old behavior is followed only for test emails triggered from the Customer or Subscription details page such as the Request Payment Method email.

Please try this out and let me know if you have any questions.
