How to edit the ‘Update Payment Method’ button on the email?
Summary
To translate or edit the ‘Update Payment Method’ button label on the email notification we need to download, edit and upload the ‘Language Pack’. This can be manually updated by navigating to the respective language folder once the language pack is downloaded, i.e, for English: en > internal > email_common_cards_and_buttons.csv > button.update_payment_method
Solution
To change the language contents for the Tax rate description, follow the steps below:
1. Downloading the language pack
You can download the language pack from Settings >> Languages. Translate all the values in the language pack and upload the compressed file to the same page. More details about configuring multiple languages within Chargebee can be found here.
2. Navigating to the file to translate the specific content
Unzip the downloaded pack. You will see the folder structure as shown below. To edit the Tax rate description, navigate to en > Internal > email_common_cards_and_buttons.csv
Note: Language folders will be in code names. For example: fr-French, en-English & de-German as in the above screenshot3. To edit the Update Payment Method button default format:
Open the email_common_cards_and_buttons.csv file in an editable format and change the relevant field or text you want to edit by adding the updated information in the ‘Value’ column.
You will find Update Payment Method in the ‘key’ column mentioned as ‘button.update_payment_method’
Note: You can edit this csv file either in a text editor or in Google sheets or MS office. Remember to save the file in the .csv extension only.
Finally, save the file in CSV format, zip the pack completely, and then upload it to your site.
