How do I prepare for the e-mandate changes by RBI?

What should I do?

Note: RBI has made new changes from 1st Oct 2021 on the E-mandate. Read about the E-mandate and guidelines here. 

Solution

- Webhooks needs to be configured as all recurring payments are going to take X+3 days to get a confirmation

- Communicate these requirements to your customers and the need to come back online to setup mandate after Oct 1

- Make sure to have Dunning configured in Chargebee. Dunning emails will have to be configured so that end customers can be notified of any payment failures

- Increase the dunning period to provide more grace period for their customers to come back online pay for the payment due to invoices
