Summary

If you have enabled Direct debit as a payment method on your Chargebee’s gateway account, you can choose to display it on checkout as a payment method for your customers.

Note:  The option to display Direct Debit as a payment option for your customers on Chargebee’s checkout is only available if you are using Stripe/GoCardless.

Solution

The details to configure Direct Debit on both the gateways are below.

Stripe as your payment gateway:

This would require the Plaid Authentication to be setup. Here’s more on how to add your Plaid credentials on Chargebee. Once this is done you may choose it to be displayed for your customers on checkout. 

GoCardless:

To avail this option, you would need to have the GoCardless Plan that supports showing the Direct Debit as a payment method on Checkout. You can read about the configuration from here.
