Duration:  The coupon duration decides the number of recurring invoices on which the discount has to be applied. There are three options available under Coupon Duration.

  1. One Time: The coupon discount is applied only once when the coupon is applied to the subscription.

  2. Forever: This applies the coupon to every recurring invoice generated during the subscription lifetime.

  3. Limited Period: The coupon will be applied to every recurring invoice in the specific duration of the subscription.

For example, if you set 5 months in this option, the coupon will be applied to every recurring invoice generated in the first 5 months of the subscription. If its a quarterly subscription, the coupon is applied twice. Whereas if it is a monthly subscription, the coupon is applied 5 times.

Validity: The coupon validity decides the date and time until when the coupon can be applied to subscriptions.

Note: A Coupon discount will continue to apply to the subscriptions it is linked to, even after the valid date.

For example, a forever coupon having validity as February 20, 2020, can only be applied to a subscription until that date. However, the discount will continue to apply on these subscriptions even after Feb 20, 2020, since it is a “forever” type.
