Can I sync invoice details from Chargebee to Intercom?


Chargebee synchronizes customer, subscription, and invoice details to Intercom to engage in self-serve conversations in the Intercom's Inbox.

The following are the actions items for which you can generate links and send it via the Intercom’s inbox:

  1. Create a new subscription

  2. Request payment method

  3. Update payment method

  4. Collect payment

Warning: You cannot retrieve product catalog information from Chargebee through the integration. The Chargebee <> Intercom integration only supports the sync of the customer and subscription record related information. 

For example, You cannot sync addon related information. This is because a subscription may have multiple add-ons, and Intercom doesn't support object creation. To avoid data inconsistency, we do not support this synchronization with Intercom.

However, We recommend the usage of 3rd party integrations like Zapier that allows you to achieve this. To execute this, 

  1. Create 2 custom fields in the intercom to track this.

  2. Use Zapier integration to sync the add-on name and add-on value for the subscription created and subscription updated events to match the custom fields created in Intercom.
