Salesforce Sync Errors in Chargebee

How to perform billing address bulk update to sync state codes?


Sync errors are observed in Chargebee when there is a mismatch in the “Integration value” field and the “State Name” under the State and Country/ Territory picklist of Salesforce. 

For example, setting the integration value as “TAS” for Tasmania, “VIC” for Victoria, etc. in Salesforce would lead to Sync errors.

This error can be resolved by changing the picklist value so that the value matches in both Chargebee and Salesforce as mentioned in the gif below.

To resolve this, 

  • Go to Salesforce Dashboard > Administer > Data Management > State and Country/Territory picklist > Click 1. Configure states and countries 

  • Select Edit under Countries/Territories > Select the country >Select Edit under States > Select the state

  • Edit Integration Value State Name and Save 

  • Now, Go to Configure Chargebee > Third-party integrations > Salesforce > Overview > Sync Now

You can also update the billing address in bulk and retry the sync again to see if they are being pushed through. 

To carry out the Bulk edit of Billing Info ie. VIC = Victoria


  1. Perform the Billing address bulk update using the Export Customers CSV as mentioned below

  2. Check for the billing address of every customer present in the CSV file to update information in bulk

  3. Now, set the value in Chargebee to the same value in the state picklist in Salesforce. 

  4. Retry the sync again to see if the values are being pushed through.
