How to create events for subscriptions?

Modified on: Thu, 13 Dec, 2018 at 1:18 PM

An event is a log of changes that happen to a resource in Chargebee such as changes relating to customers, subscriptions, plans, add-ons, transactions and coupons.

Chargebee automatically logs the events as they occur. You can find the events relating to customers and subscriptions under the Logs » Events tab in the web interface. Events related to plans, coupons, and add-ons, are logged in their respective pages under the Product Catalog tab in the web interface.

Event-related data can be useful to understand when a specific action was performed, the amount for which an invoice, payment, credit or refund was made. It can also be used to trigger other subsequent actions based on the type of event that occurs.

Events can also be retrieved using APIs. Here’s more. Also, here’s the list of events that Chargebee generates.
