For active subscriptions, I'd like to retry the transactions that fail during renewals. However, for trial and future subscriptions if the payment while going LIVE fails, I don't want to retry the transaction. Is this configuration possible?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dunning management involves the retry attempts to capture payments on invoices that are due. You can set this up under Settings >> Revenue recovery >> Dunning for online payments

You can configure a maximum of three retries. If the last attempt fails, you can have Chargebee do one of the following -

  • mark invoice as 'Not Paid'
  • cancel subscription and mark invoice as 'Not Paid'
  • cancel subscription and mark invoice as 'Voided'
  • cancel subscription and write-off the invoice
  • cancel subscription and reverse the invoice

Furthermore, you have the option to disable dunning for trial and future subscriptions. If you check this option, subscriptions in Trial and Future states will get canceled if the initial attempt fails.

Here are
 the features of dunning management.
